Summer is here and the season for cocktails – signature cocktails at that! Signature cocktails have always been a popular favourite for any party and especially weddings, as they really let the personality of the couple shine through. Creating a connection between you and your guests as they share in your special day with a special drink that is of significance to you both and/ or your story. Bonus points if the drink matches your colours or theme with a garnish too!
Most couples tend to choose their favourite classic drink, whilst some prefer to concoct a unique creation inspired by their love story. However, for 2024 you can expect to see one particular drink at almost every occasion – the Spritz. A signature cocktail for the summer, the spritz is not only affordable but it’s also versatile and an all round people pleaser!
The reigning spritz cocktail is no surprise, the Aperol spritz. The go-to drink in the summer with its lower alcohol content and bright orange hue, this Italian spritz offers its thirst quenching citrusy flavour making it a popular choice for the warm weather weddings.
Second in line, is the Hugo spritz. Refreshing and herbal, the hugo spritz is made with elderflower syrup, sparkling wine, soda water, lime juice and mint.
If you’re a lover of Campari, another favourite is of not surprisingly, the Campari spritz (Campari, sparkling wine and soda water), but also the Apperol & Campari Spritz, a combination of both Apperol and Campari, mixed with sparkling wine and soda water.
Fancy something a bit lighter? Try our Bergamot Spritz, bergamot syrup, sparkling wine and soda water or perhaps you have a sweeter tooth, then our Spritz Rosa is your tipple – sweet vermouth, rosé wine and soda water.
And technically not a spritz, yet another popular signature summer cocktail is the Arnaud’s French 75, a classic mixture of courvoisier, sparkling wine, lemon juice and sugar.
