There is never a dull moment in the wedding industry and whilst Weddings are forever rooted in tradition, every year brings new trends and new ideas to the table. 2024 Weddings are going to be the best year yet post-covid, and we feel that the best is yet to come, with experts predicting that 2024 will be the year of proposals (the number of engagements due to skyrocket!)

2023 was the year of minimal bouquets, creative wedding signs, butterflies and western wedding inspo, so let’s dive into what 2024 looks to bring…

Tonal Colour Schemes

Opting for a more subtle and cohesive feel, Brides look to be drawn towards tonal palettes for their colour schemes, choosing shades of blue as opposed to different colours, offering a sophisticated yet laid back appeal.

Flowers

Flowers, flowers and more flowers. Whites and greens are always a classic but we’ve been seeing more and more colourful flower arrangements for both bouquets and centrepieces alike and 2024 looks to be heading that way. Play around with colours, there is no wrong decision here.

Drone Photography

Making a comeback since pre-covid times, drone photography and videography seems to be a popular favourite among couples.

Low Key Weddings

Think less ‘over-the-top’ and more intimate, laid back affairs, focusing more on the moment and guests than big floral arrangements.

Relaxed Bridal Party

From the traditional bridal party to no bridal party, brides are finding their own way when it comes to what is expected of them, and allowing their bridesmaids less responsibilities, the ability to pick their own gowns and being seated during the wedding ceremony.

Documentary Style Photography

More candid captures and less posed portraits seems the way of 2024.

Late Night Surprises

Surprise your guests with a special late night snack or mystery cocktail to create a little buzz amongst your guests.

Guest Dress Codes

This is the biggest one to hit 2024 and one that is a little surprising, however with the unwritten rule of only the bride can wear white (or some Brides requesting no black for their female attendees). Couples are now getting more specific and requesting guests to think even harder about their wedding day attire with some requesting ‘over-the-top’ offering creative flair to the dress code, ‘wear something red’ or ‘no black suits’.

Celestial Vibes

One trend that’s growing in popularity – the cosmos. For a true out of this world wedding, there’s plenty of ways to incorporate this trend from zodiacs to moon phases and meteor showers, the galaxy is offering plenty of inspo and the universe is delivering! Pun intended!

Minimoon and a Honeymoon

What’s better than a honeymoon? Well, two obviously! Couples are taking advantage of a destination wedding with tying in a minimoon before an official honeymoon too and we can’t say we blame them! Before heading back home, take an extra 2-3 days somewhere else on the island or at a different hotel for some real alone time as newlyweds.
