When it comes to wedding planning, there’s a million and one things that are going through your head, let alone your day to day life things too. So it’s easy for one or two details to easily slip your mind when you’re overwhelmed by planning your big day. After all, wedding planning is a full time job – that’s why there are people who do this for a living!

Here’s a little list of some of those easily forgotten details that many Brides tend to forget once in a while…

#1 What time the sun set is

This will of course depend on what time of the year you’re having your wedding, however be sure to discuss with your photographer as they’ll have a typical idea and will want to whisk you away from your guests at this time for some stunning Cyprus sunset photos, so you’ll need to make sure you’re not planning speeches or dinner during this time.

#2 Transportation

Whether it’s for your guests to get to Liopetro or for your Bridal Party and yourself on the morning of. Make sure you have your transport needs covered!

#3 Including any ‘gratuity’ in your budget

Gratuity, aka tips, if you’re planning on tipping your service staff be sure to include this in your budgeting too

#4 Having your Wedding Website ready before sending the save the dates

If you’re planning on setting up a wedding website, be sure to have this ready before sending out for save the dates, it doesn’t need to be fully finished but you should have the URL, and a holding page up at least so that you can not only include it in your save the dates but guests know to check back – just don’t forget to finish it or add any details that your guests should know.

#5 Guests’ Food Allergies/ Requirements

Be sure to make a note of any allergies or guests that are vegetarian or vegan to let us know

#6 Wedding Attire

If you’re planning on traveling to your honeymoon destination straight from Cyprus, be sure to make arrangements such as who will be taking your dress and groom’s suit back home for you.

#7 Alterations

Finding ‘the one’ in terms of wedding dress in enough time to also make adequate alterations prior to your wedding day. Most ateliers will suggest around 3 alterations before the big day.

#8 Morning of outfit

Easily overlooked is your morning of the day outfit, something to wear whilst you’re having your hair and makeup done, and most importantly photographed doing so.

#9 Eating on the day of your wedding

The day’s finally come and you’re buzzing with excitement – don’t forget to get a good breakfast in and drink plenty of water in the morning.

#10 Gifts

A little thank-you gift for your bridal & groom party as well as parents, will go a long way to show your appreciation for them.

#11 Change of shoes

If there’s a chance you might want something comfier to change into at the end of the night bring along something that will be more dance floor friendly

#12 What you’ll need from your MOH on the day of

Whilst they may have seen your dress before the big day, do they know how to do it up for you on the morning of and do they know how to bustle your dress for you during the day? Bring them along to your final fitting for them to see just what needs to be done.

#13 Finer Details

From a polaroid camera to pens for your guest book and from favours for your guests to the confetti for your “exit of the ceremony”, there are many details you would like to include for your big day; make sure you ask your planner/venue about any potential details you might have forgotten. They will surely be able to help.
